HCG 90 is also known as the NGC 7176 group. Some of the galaxies
in the neighbourhood have similar escape velocities of ~2500 km/s.
In total there are thought to be about 19 members of the group.
In 2016, Ordenes-Briceño et al. found five dwarf galaxy candidates
around HCG 90: article
Two of these galaxies can be identified in our image (dw2 and dw3
probably lie exactly under a spike).
